What does it consist of?
Modelling is a teaching technique in which the teacher clearly shows how to complete a task before students do it themselves. The teacher demonstrates the activity, sometimes with a student or with the whole class, so learners can see the expected final outcome, not just hear the instructions.

What do we achieve with this technique?
– reducing confusion before starting a task
– supporting low-level or less confident learners
– preventing mistakes and task failure
– increasing student confidence by making expectations clear

Examples:
– Writing: the teacher writes one model sentence on the board
– Speaking: the teacher asks a student a question and answers as a model
– Games: the teacher plays one round with a student before the class starts
